Why start your own cosmetic series?

With shelves in drugstores and pharmacies overflowing with well-known brands and products, why start your own cosmetic series?

I, Beatrix Förster, founder of HOLIKO, made this decision after decades of searching unsuccessfully for the right cosmetics for my sensitive skin and my children’s eczema. For around 30 years, I have been making natural cosmetics for home use, providing our skin with the care it needs to stay healthy.

As a scientist, I have delved deeply into the requirements for healthy skin and the critical role of the skin microbiome. In 2012, I discovered the incredible effectiveness of colostrum against skin infections in southern Germany. This discovery inspired me to integrate colostrum into both my cosmetics and my research project on developing antibiotic alternatives, most recently at the University Hospital Utrecht in the Netherlands.

My enthusiasm for colostrum continues to grow, and HOLIKO allows me to realize my dream of making my natural cosmetics available to others.
